Job Title: General Cleaner (Commercial)
Location: Heathrow
Pay Rate: £10.42 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on 2 off pattern, with a mix of earlies and lates (06:30am - 2:30pm and 2pm - 10pm)
Job Type: Ongoing Contract
We are looking for General Cleaners to provide a variety of professional cleaning services to ensure staff offices and passenger areas are well presented.
The works will include; Office, Terminal or warehouse environments.
Responsibilities:
The main duties of a Cleaner include but are not limited to:
- Sweeping and mopping
- Removal and disposal of waste/ clearing litter
- Wiping surfaces clean
- Cleaning the bathrooms (including toilets) & replenishing toiletries
- Any other cleaning duties as instructed by duty Manager
Person Specification
- No experience is necessary, however ideally you would have commercial cleaning experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning materials supplies and COSHH would be preferred.
- Be flexible with working hours (able to workdays, nights & weekends)
- Must be hardworking & reliable with an excellent work ethic.
- Have no criminal convictions.

Opportunity to gain a full airside pass if you can meet the checkable criteria
- 5year checkable reference history
- Been in the UK for minimum of 5years
- Clean criminal history (You will have a Criminal Record Check conducted)
Health & Safety
- You are required to complete a Security exam and therefore need to display you understand Health & Safety practices; therefore, you will need to demonstrate you have a good understanding and communicate clearly in both written and verbal English.
- There is an element of manual handling of materials including pushing and pulling of equipment. You will need to be physically fit and able to carry out this role; the Airport is a large environment, and you will often be required to walk long distances between workstations
